Late December 2008

The holiday season is winding down, but not before we go to our cabin to be with some family and friends. The weather has been frightful many times already this winter, and although I love snow, it has hampered my need to celebrate with those I love. So, a few more gatherings in the next week, then many more little ones to help us all through the Cold Dark Time.

I have been busy in my studio. Here are some of my new Reminder Pins - helping me remember what is important sometimes.

Oooohhhh, those candles look so midnight peaceful. The ice speaks of the chill of winter,'s frost yet the essence of warmth remains. However did you create them? Where did you place them? Who were you with? What did you talk about? I believe there is a story here even if you were alone with your thoughts.

These really are great reminders. When I look at the one that says 'FLY' it really happens within me because of the soulful spirit inherent in the textures and colors of the piece itself. I look forward to collaborating with you on my aunt's journal project. How did you meet her?

My reminder pin reminds me...and others to explore the possibilites! I've had quite a few comments - "ooh", "ahh", "where did you find that" - but especially about the originality of the design. Thank you.
